I'd love to hear more too. I ruptured a disc in my back 5 weeks ago. I was given a perscription for Oxycodone 10 mg 6 times a day. I did that for 10 days and then stopped because I was a little better and did not want to continue on with another script. My sister use to work for Purdue Pharma and was one of the top reps in the country for Oxycontin (I have heard the stories about addiction trust me). But after reading this site what I never heard anything about was the need for detox after a short amount of time on the medication. Maybe it is just me since I have never taken anything stronger than darvocet for 3 days after a surgury (opioids make me vomit)But I have all of the symptoms of withdrawal after less than 2 weeks. I could not figure out (until this) where the pain in the bones of my legs was coming from. I have had a hard time sleeping, sweating all the time even if it is cold and just feeling run down. I just figured it was all symptoms of the ruptured disc. How can you detox quick I have felt this way for three weeks now maybe I am going to be done, naturally soon, but would love to hear more.

Can this be true? How does rapid detox deal with the brain's dependance and subsequent demands for the substance after it has been cleansed. I understand the rapid cleansing process, but what keeps you from expepriencing the absolute and perfect agony of withdrawal?
